Milan's fashion houses own the restaurants, cafes and bars where fashion week eats: who owns which room, since when, and for how much
Prada, Dsquared2, Armani and Bulgari own the rooms where Milan's fashion week actually eats. Under Prada, Marchesi added three more shops: Via Monte Napoleone, the Galleria, and a Mount Street outpost in London, opened in 2015, 2017 and 2019. Nobu Milano sits inside a 1937 building that was once an insurance office, at Via Manzoni 31, the address Armani converted whole. Bulgari's Milan hotel opened in 2004, seven years before LVMH bought the jewellery house itself, so Bulgari was renting out rooms before it belonged to a conglomerate. Trussardi's kitchen at Piazza della Scala went dark in 2023. The investment fund that owned the house, QuattroR, sold the whole business to Miroglio in 2024. 10 Corso Como changed hands too, to Tiziana Fausti in 2020. The one room nobody bought is Bar Basso, still pouring the drink Mirko Stocchetto invented there by mistake in 1972.
