Elijah Aike made the runway soundtrack for Mowalola SS27 (Season 10)
Elijah Aike made the runway soundtrack for Mowalola's SS27 show, and the closing song was his own.
The collection was titled The Hunger and shown in Westminster, a long way from the warehouses and clubs the label usually picks. The room opened on a remix of Born Slippy and the floor was blood red, poured with resin to look like spilled drinks. Ogunlesi's own summary of the label afterwards: "Sex, glamour, decay, raw… the party, the club."
Runway music is usually credited in small print, if at all. Here the composer is a working designer with his own label, who has cut patterns inside the studio he was scoring for.
