Paris Fashion Week SS27 opens: Julie Kegels, the new LVMH Prize winner, takes the first slot; MaXhosa Africa's first official runway show
Paris Fashion Week spring 2027 opens on Monday 28 September and runs nine days to 6 October, on the official calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. Julie Kegels opens it at 14:30, twenty-four days after winning the LVMH Prize; her reaction on the night was that someone needed to pinch her. MaXhosa Africa's 17:00 slot is the house's first official runway show after seasons of presentations on the schedule. Hodakova, at 18:00, is the 2024 winner of the same prize. Matières Fécales, at 19:00, closes the day. Later in the week: Courrèges on Wednesday is Drew Henry's first show since he took the artistic director's job in May. Carven on Thursday is Kai Nesselrath's first; he was named on 8 June, two months after Mark Thomas left, and the house has been in a revival since 2023 under its owner, the ICCF Group.
