Dries Van Noten SS27: Julian Klausner's 60 looks built on posters for invented films, printed across silky dresses

Julian Klausner's Summer 2027 collection for Dries Van Noten, 60 looks shown on 30 September at 15:00 in Paris, starts from an idea the house put in one line: an actress, after a day on set, takes the streets back to reality. Klausner and his studio invented films and designed their posters, then printed those posters across the clothes. "We imagined films that don't exist and created their posters," Klausner said, describing a world premiere in grand Technicolor and a cinema siren on screen and off. The result was glamour worn casually: silky dresses carrying the posters, brooches and belts to pull waists in, heeled courts, gloves and soft bags. Dries Van Noten launched his label in 1986, showing menswear in London with the Antwerp Six, and announced his retirement in March 2024.
