Louis Vuitton SS27 closes Paris: flying cars over an asphalt runway in the Louvre's Cour Carrée; Nicolas Ghesquière goes light and plain, 'ergonomic'; gauzy shifts; simplicity that took complex work

Louis Vuitton showed at 18:30 on Tuesday 6 October, the last slot of the Paris spring 2027 schedule. The cars overhead had glowing red tail lights, and the runway ran the length of the courtyard. Ghesquière has led the house's women's collections since 2013, after heading Balenciaga from 1997 to 2012.
