The Hermes Constance is named after a baby

The Hermes Constance is named after a newborn. The bag was designed in 1959 by an Hermes draughtswoman, Catherine Chaillet. The story goes that she named it after her daughter Constance, born around the time she finished it. The clasp is a giant H, and it has barely changed since. A bag and a baby, born the same year.
