Tom Ford SS27: Haider Ackermann's show in a mirrored room, pinstripes, black leather, cut-out red gowns and swimsuits
Haider Ackermann's Tom Ford show for spring 2027 ran at 20:00 on 30 September in Paris in a near-dark room set with mirrored panes, the models pausing to look at their reflections and at each other.
Ackermann was named creative director in September 2024 and showed his first collection in March 2025. He followed Peter Hawkings, who had replaced Tom Ford himself after the April 2023 deal valuing the brand at 2.8 billion dollars, in which Estée Lauder bought it and licensed the fashion business to Zegna.

The post, as it ran
01HAIDER ACKERMANN'S TOM FORD SPRING 2027 WALKED IN PARIS ON 30 SEPTEMBER, IN A DIM ROOM LINED WITH MIRRORS.
02THE MODELS STOPPED TO LOOK AT THEMSELVES, AND AT EACH OTHER, IN THE GLASS.
03A DOUBLE-BREASTED PINSTRIPED SUIT OPENED THE SHOW.
04THEN BLACK LEATHER, AND RED EVENING GOWNS CUT OPEN AND SLIT HIGH.
05SWIMSUITS, BARELY THERE, WENT DOWN THE SAME RUNWAY AS THE TAILORING.
06ACKERMANN'S OWN NOTES: THERE IS SOMETHING DEEPLY SEXUAL IN A BODY THAT REVEALS ITSELF WITHOUT OFFERING ITSELF.
